Xochitl Burgan, 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 16, 2021. No services are planned at this time.
Xochitl was born on October 4, 1960 to Manuel Leyte and Elvia Olvera in Mexico City, Mexico. She grew up in Mexico but at age 14 her parents moved to the United States. Xochitl married Myron Burgan in 1985, started a family. She began a lifelong dream of nursing. Xochitl took classes and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Xochitl worked for 20 years as a nurse at Sharp Coronado in San Diego, California. In her spare time, she liked to drive her grandchildren around in her truck and loved serving and being with her church family at Maranatha Chapel. She enjoyed gardening and knitting and walking her dog Chachi.
Xochitl Burgan was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Elvia Leyte.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Myron Burgan; her son, Luke Burgan and wife Carolina; her daughter, Amanda Batalona and husband Yardley Jr.; her grandchildren, Brianna, Rosalie, and Yardley III; her brothers and sisters, and her fur baby, Chachi.
