William E. Eye

February 8, 1942 ~ April 12, 2022 (age 80)

With a heavy heart we say farewell to our precious loved one. He would tell us not to say goodbye or farewell, but to say until we meet again. William Eugene (Billy) Eye was born February 8, 1942 to Bessie and Lilburn Eye of Potosi, Mo. On April 12, 2022, our heavenly father called him home. William left behind his loving wife of 52 years Mary Ann Eye. Together they raised four beautiful children: Sheila McGuire (the innocent one), Allen McGuire (grounded for life) , Michael McGuire ( the instigator)  (proceeded in death on Feb.10), and William R. Eye ( claims to be tormented one). He leaves 8 siblings, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

William Eye was an upstanding member of both Potosi Mo and Central Texas. Like his son, he believed in serving the community he lived in. While Michael served as a firefighter in the community, William served the heart and soul of men. This he did this proudly and freely.  He has served as chaplain to the surrounding hospitals. He pastored Youngsport Baptist Church for 14 wonderful years. Colossians 3:14 & 15 states “Above All, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your heart. And be thankful.” This he did with every fiber of his being. He always wore a smile and told a great story from Vietnam to the little red rocket car. We pray he knows how many lives he touched and helped make new through Jesus Christ.

Dad, You will be greatly missed as we wait to see you again. In the meantime, “SOAR ON THE WINGS OF EAGLES.” We Love you so very much
