Virgie Ann Brown (Mima), 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Virgie was born on August 25, 1947 in the Philippines to Carlton Washington and Josefina Signo-Washington.
She graduated from Mapandan Academy in the Philippines, then University of Hawaii and Central Texas College. She had a love for learning and mastered 3 languages and knew a little of 4 more languages.
She married the love of her life Edward Brown on January 7, 1978 in Hawaii.
Virgie loved to sing, dance, travel, cook, shop and go fishing. She loved her family and her friends dearly. Her friends would know when she arrived because of the way she would greet them with her hello (Hellerrr). She had the most compassionate heart and even when she was down, she kept smiling.
Virgie Ann Brown was preceded in death by her parents Carlton and Josefina Washington.
She is survived by her husband Edward Brown, Her daughters Ebony Tarver (Donald) and Anisah “Tammy” Brown, her grandchildren Essence, Maritza, Julissa, Angelyna, A’merie, Abyan, Inaayah, Abdul Qayyoom, Aesha and Muaadh. Virgie had numerous siblings across the United States and Overseas, a father-in-law James Brown, brother-in-law Tony, sister-in-laws Darlene, Sharon, and Patricia.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
