Ronald Michael Dzierzawic, 79, passed away on October 6, 2021. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on October 20, 2021, with the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 9:30 AM October 21, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home with burial to follow at The Central State Texas Veterans Cemetery. Afterwords feel free to meet at Ma's place in Harker Heights.
Ronald was born on November 17, 1941, to Martin Dzierzawic and Olga Kmetz in Passaic, New Jersey. He joined the United States Army and was very proud to earn a degree in Engineering while serving his country. He traveled the world and served in the Vietnam War. While stationed in Korea, he met the love of his life, Chong. He enjoyed telling the story of how he purposely ripped his pants just so he could meet the beautiful army tailor who would eventually become his wife. He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer. He worked as an engineer for Lockheed Martin afterwards, and discovered a passion for teaching. Before retiring for a final time, he taught Engineering in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. While in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia he joined and would help cook for many exploration groups such as the Hash House Harriers. He enjoyed many things and spoke of his experiences with joy.
Ronald Michael Dzierzawic was preceded in death by his parents, Martin, and Olga Dzierzawic; his brother Martin Dzierzawic II; and his wife Chong Dzierzawic.
Ronald was survived by his daughter Jenny Wooten and her husband Edward Wooten; his granddaughter Leslie Fayad; his grandson Yohanese Wardwell and his wife Lee Anne Wardwell; his nephew Martin Dzierzawic III; as well as four great-grandchildren, many cousins, and many close friends.
