Obituary

Ramona “Moni” Pedrosa, 64, passed away on May 24, 2021. Ramona married her loving husband Juan Mendoza on May 30, 2015.

Ramona was born on August 31, 1956 to Isidro and Francisca Soto in Chihuahua, Mexico. She worked at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor as a caterer for many years and had just retired. Moni was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandmother to her eight beautiful granddaughters. Moni showered all those around her with love, affection, fun times and amazing food. If you knew her you loved her and loved being around her. Moni’s beautiful, loving and giving soul was magnetic to all who came around her.

Moni celebrated life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her joy for life, singing and dancing.

Ramona Pedrosa was preceded in death by her father, Isidro Soto. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Juan Mendoza; her children, daughter, Cynthia Fontanez and husband, Juan; her son, Anibal Aguilar and wife Ashley; her son, Ariel Pedrosa and wife Daniela; her grandchildren, Giselle, Natalie, Aliyah, Jannellys, Alyssa, Arianna, Yessenia and Iselah; her mother, Francisca Soto; her siblings, Martha Noriega, Nelly Reyes, Isidro Soto and Demetrio Soto and numerous extended family and friends.

Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 5:00 PM Monday, May 31, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 AM Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with a burial to follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

 

Ramona “Mony” Pedrosa, de 64 años, falleció el 24 de Mayo de 2021. Ramona se casó con su amado esposo Juan Mendoza el 30 de Mayo de 2015.

Ramona nació el 31 de Agosto de 1956 de Isidro y Francisca Soto en Chihuahua, México. Había trabajado en la Universidad de Mary Hardin Baylor como Chef durante muchos años y se acababa de jubilar. Ramona fue una esposa y madre dedicada ante todo. Ella adoraba a su familia y disfruto cada momento con ellos. Le encantaba especialmente su papel de abuela de sus ocho hermosas nietas. Ramona lleno a todos los que la rodeaban con amor, afecto, momentos divertidos y comida increíble. Si la conocías, la amabas y amabas estar con ella. El alma hermosa, amorosa y generosa de Ramona era magnética para todos los que la rodeaban.

Ramona celebró la vida al máximo y disfrutó viajar con su familia. Todos los que la conocieron la extrañarán mucho, especialmente su amor y alegría por la vida, siempre cantando y bailando.

Ramona Pedrosa fue precedida en la muerte de su padre, Isidro Soto. Deja atrás para honrar su memoria, a su esposo, Juan Mendoza; sus hijos, su hija Cynthia Fontanez y su esposo Juan; su hijo, Anibal Aguilar y su esposa Ashley; su hijo, Ariel Pedrosa y su esposa Daniela; sus nietas, Giselle, Natalie, Aliyah, Jannellys, Alyssa, Arianna, Yessenia e Iselah; su madre, Francisca Soto; sus hermanos, Martha Noriega, Nelly Reyes, Isidro Soto y Demetrio Soto y numerosos familiares y amigos.

Su vida fue un ejemplo vivo del versículo bíblico, Efesios 4:32: “Y sean bondadosos y compasivos unos con otros, perdonándose unos a otros, como Dios también los perdonó a ustedes en Cristo”.

Se llevará a cabo el velorio de 4: 00-7: 00 p.m. con un rosario a las 5:00 p. m. del Lunes 31 de Mayo de 2021 en Heritage Funeral Home. La misa fúnebre será a las 9:00 a.m. el Martes 1 de Junio de 2021 en la Iglesia Católica Christ the King en Belton, seguido con el entierro en el Cementerio de Veteranos del Estado de Texas Central en Killeen.
