Paul Ervin Blackwell Jr., 79, of Killeen, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2020. A graveside service is planned for 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Central Texas Veterans State Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Mr. Blackwell was born on April 14, 1941 to Paul and Homerzella Blackwell in Philadelphia, PA., where he grew up. Paul married the love of his life Ethel, on April 8, 1976 in Vancouver, Washington. Their marriage has lasted a wonderful 46 years. Paul served at his church as an usher for 18 years and as a prayer practioner. In the Army he was Sgt. 1st Class Supply Technician this was his carrier after the Army, Supply Technician in the Education field. Paul taught at the Dodd’s School in Germany reading to children. His hobbies include Bowling, Peanuckle, music, sports (football, basketball and boxing), and playing Scrabble with his wife.
Paul Ervin Blackwell Jr. was preceded in death by his Parents and his sister, Diane Blackwell.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Ethel Blackwell; daughter Denita Taylor and husband Michael; son, Alex Blackwell; daughter, Brenda Blackwell; son, Carl Mundine; son, Donald Blackwell; son, Eric Bishop and wife Nicy; son John Bishop Jr.; son, David Blackwell and wife Urica; 26 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
