Lula Brooks, 94, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2022.

Lula was born on August 27, 1928, to Sterling Woods and Elnora Diles in Calvert, Texas. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Abernathy, Texas. Lula was a wonderful aunt. She enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews and sharing various stories with them. She also enjoyed her various collections of “what nots” that she displayed around her home.

Lula Brooks was preceded in death by her parents Sterling and Elnora Woods, her sisters, Lucille Wallace, Mattie, Ann Johnson, and Arizona Kelley; brothers, Mozell Woods, Sterling Woods Jr., Isaac Woods, Columbus Woods, and Mann Woods

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brothers, Joseph Woods, Sammy Woods and Charles Woods and a host of nieces and nephews.
