Leila Ann Musulin

November 28, 1940 ~ October 20, 2020 (age 79)

Obituary

Leila Ann Musulin, 79, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2020. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights, Texas. Interment will follow at Killeen Memorial Park, Killeen, Texas.

Leila was born on November 28, 1940 to Bill Newton Bewley and Ruth Pearl Fuchs in Long Beach, California. She grew up in the Bay Area, California and graduated from Capuchino High School in San Bruno as did all of her four children! She married Nicholas Musulin Jr. on July 26, 1969 in Carson City Nevada.

Leila loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She always loved a good adventure! Something as small as a great Clive Cussler book or as big as a trip to the Grand Canyon with her family and anything in between; a shopping trip with her girls to Trader Joe’s, a musical in Austin, dinner out, beach trips with her family; she was up for and made the best of anything!  In her downtime, she loved reading, playing on the computer, and snuggling with her two cats Cleo and Oz.  Mother’s Day was always a special day and was spent with a picnic at the park or at the zoo.

Leila Ann Musulin was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Ruth Bewley; her husband, Nicholas Musulin Jr., her son Dwayne Lee Johnson and siblings, Bruce Bewley, Ruth Sterner and Marie Smith.

She is survived by her son Darren Leroy Johnson and wife Silke; her daughter, Nichole Lee Musulin and husband Jarrett Nairn; her daughter, Anna Leila Musulin and fiancé Jeremy Curran; her grandchildren, Kieth Johnson, Logan Bisconer and Landen Nairn.

She was the best mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend anyone could ask for and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the American Heart Association in her honor.
