Jose Antonio Lagares, Jr., 47, passed on June 27, 2020 in Arlington, Texas.
Jose was born on May 26, 1973 to Jose Antonio Lagares, Sr. and Doris Brunilda Villareal Lagares. He graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, IL 1992 . He has lived many places including Detroit, Puerto Rico, Loraine Ohio and Killeen Texas. Jose married Emily Ann on September 3, 2003 at their home.
He became an ordained minister in the late 1990’s, but his greatest passion was when he became a Tattoo Artist. Jose was very well educated and became well known traveling the U.S. to Tattoo conventions. He had a talent for singing, piano, guitar and art. He loved spending time with family and friends. His family and friends know him to have a “big heart”. He loved to cook, he was an innovator, rapper, lyricist, comedian, and prankster. But above all Jose was an amazing father and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Antonio Lagares Sr.; grandfather, Don Juan Flecha; and grandmother, Matilde’ Ortiz.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Lagares; daughter, Emma Lee Denault; sons, Mario Lagares, Yahdai Nasir Lagares and Silent Poet Lagares; mother, Doris Carter; sisters, Annette Lagares-Cruz, Johanna Lagares, Mayra Enid Rodriguez and Ali Marie Rodriguez; and brother, Matthew Velazguez
