Obituary

John William Bentley, 78, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2021. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM with a Funeral Service to begin at 11:30 AM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial to follow at 1 pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

John was born on March 6, 1943 to Isaac and Mary Bentley in Monroe, Georgia. After graduating from High School, John joined the Army and served overseas in Germany, Vietnam and the United States retiring at Ft. Hood after 24 years of service to his country. John married the love of his life, Won Nan Lim on July 6, 1984. He was self employed after the Army and loved to do woodworking and one specialty was making canes and other small crafts of wood. John was a hunter but preferred hunting in the Northern part of the United States. He liked to ride his motorcycle and traveling with his wife in his travel trailer.

John William Bentley was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Mary Bentley; his daughter, Tammy Bentley; his brothers and sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Won Nan Bentley; his son’s, David Bentley and John Broderson; his granddaughter, Kylie Bentley.
