James W. Tibbetts, Jr., 65, of Nolanville, TX., passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2020. Graveside services are planned for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Pleasantville Cemetery in Nolanville, Texas.
James was born on July 2, 1955 to James Tibbetts Sr. and Betty Ann Corley Tibbetts in Temple, Texas. He grew up in Temple and Nolanville then graduated from Killeen High School. After high school James went to school for training in Autobody repair. He became so good people called him the Auto Body Man! James was a bowler and was part of a bowling league. He loved to hunt and fish and walking through Flea Markets. The grandkids loved being with “Papaw” at the Flea Markets. He taught his daughter, Lisa, to Turkey call so well that she won the Ft. Hood Family Fish Day Turkey Calling contest. James was on the City Council of Nolanville and enjoyed riding with the City Police Academy of Nolanville.
James W. Tibbetts, Jr. was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Tibbetts; his mother, Betty Ann Tibbetts; and his great grandson,Tristan Page.
He is survived by his significant other of 30 years, Sue Donovan; his father, James W. Tibbetts, Sr.; his daughter, Lisa Carpenter; his granddaughters, Jessica Page and Ashley Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Amarah, Braydon, Destinnie and one on the way; his best friend, Richard Rhea; brother Clifford Tibbetts, sisters, Dottie Harr and LouAnn Moseley; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
