Devoted mother and grandmother, Cynthia Lyn (Boswell) Riessen, 58, passed away on August 13, 2021.
Cynthia was born on September 26, 1962, to Harry “Hank” Langston Boswell III and Yvonne Carol Boswell in Encino California.
She loved her children, grandchildren, and her animals more than anything. She was especially fond of German shepherd’s and owned many over the years. She enjoyed exploring her spirituality and was a passionate collector of crystals. After undergoing a kidney transplant in March 2010, Cynthia went back to school to get her GED. She later went on to graduate with an Associate’s Degree in 2012 from Central Texas College.
Along with being kind, loving, generous, forgiving, and open-minded, she was also a fighter, whose strength was an inspiration to all those around her. After her kidney transplant, she enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and at her local animal shelter. She was a mother and best friend to everyone she knew and will be greatly missed
She was preceded in death by her parents Yvonne Boswell and Hank Boswell III; grandparents Carmella and Joe Capra; grandparents Michael and Bonnie Rodgers; her son, Richard Langston Riessen; her ex-husband and friend, Rick Riessen, and her brothers, Phillip Boswell and Michael Perram.
She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Lynne Riessen, Jennessa Lee Riessen and Taylor Leah Riessen Kennedy; her grandchildren, Connor, Lukas, Trinity, Kodi, Charlie, Paislee, Bentlee, and Brailee; her brothers and sisters, Teresa, Julianne, Nancy, Jenay, Mike, and Tim. Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been created to assist Crystal with funeral expenses and final bills. Any donations are welcome and appreciated.
