Chalmus Lerone Satcher, 41, passed away on October 11, 2021. Funeral Service at 10:00 AM Monday October 18, 2021 with a Visitation from at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday October 18, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home.
Chalmus was born on November 28, 1979, to Charlie Robert Washington Jr. and Brunetta Satcher Washington in Joliet, Illinois. He graduated from John McDonogh High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Chalmus graduated from New Orleans Culinary Institute. He began cooking at the Praline Connections and that is where he met the love of his life Keisha. They were married on October 16, 2004. They have a daughter, Tiara and a son, DeMarcus. He also worked at the American Queen Steamboat Co. as the executive Sous Chef. He enjoyed grilling, garden, going to the gun range, and he enjoyed a good cigar and a glass of Bourbon. Chalmus was a family man who loved his family and will be deeply missed.
Chalmus was preceded in death by his grandfather, RC Satcher; his grandparents on his dad’s side, Charlie R. Washington Sr. and Hattie R. Washington; his uncles, Tyrone Satcher and Larry Satcher.
He is survived by wife, Keisha Elizabeth Satcher, his son, DeMarcus Jayson Satcher; his daughter, Tiara Jaylynn Brown; his parents, Charlie and Brunetta Washington; his brother, Darin Satcher (Tanya); his sister, Courtney Satcher-White (Richard); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
